ABI & Stroke Recovery
VRNS is proud to be an approved provider to service individuals on the ABI and MFP waiver programs.
Each year, more than 2 million Americans experience a stroke or sustain an acquired brain injury (ABI). While these events can be life-altering, there is hope—many individuals go on to make a full recovery or experience only minor long-term effects with the right support.
At VRNS, we help bridge the gap between hospital discharge and long-term recovery by bringing compassionate, specialized care into the home. Our interdisciplinary team tailors rehabilitation services to meet each patient’s unique needs, which may include:
- Physical Therapy to improve mobility, balance, strength, and coordination.
- Occupational Therapy to relearn or adapt daily activities such as dressing, bathing, eating, and toileting.
- Speech Therapy to rebuild communication skills and address swallowing difficulties.
- Skilled Nursing to provide medical care such as medication management, wound care, and monitoring of vital signs—supporting safe recovery and preventing complications in the home setting.
We’re here to help patients continue their journey to recovery—with care that supports both healing and independence.
